Pierre-Louis Eveillard de Livois<\/strong> (1736-1790), dit “marquis de Livois”, collectionneur et amoureux d’Art (devenu m\u00e9c\u00e8ne un peu malgr\u00e9 lui de la ville d’Angers, sa collection ayant \u00e9t\u00e9 saisie \u00e0 la R\u00e9volution, puis r\u00e9troc\u00e9d\u00e9e aux deux-tiers \u00e0 ses h\u00e9ritiers (indirects)\u00a0en 1799, le tiers restant ayant int\u00e9gr\u00e9 le mus\u00e9e d’Angers en 1801), il est d\u00e9sormais compl\u00e8tement oubli\u00e9 de sa ville.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Et pourtant, les plus beaux tableaux du mus\u00e9e des Beaux Arts d’Angers faisaient partie de sa collection priv\u00e9e. <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Des Flandres \u00e0 l’Italie, du XVI au XVIIIe, Chardin, Watteau, Van Loo, Fragonard, Greuze, Coypel\u2026<\/strong> en veux-tu en-voila, constituent sa collection extraordinaire qui ne compte pas moins de 400 \u0153uvres et dont plus d’une centaine\u00a0sont toujours \u00e0 admirer au mba d’Angers.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Pierre-Louis Eveillard de Livois, qui n’avait qu’une “belle ma\u00eetresse”, la peinture (dixit lui m\u00eame), se fait construire un h\u00f4tel particulier pour abriter ses \u0153uvres, la particularit\u00e9 de cet h\u00f4tel de Livois<\/strong> sera une immense galerie avec un \u00e9clairage z\u00e9nithal (la premi\u00e8re en France).<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Cet h\u00f4tel fortement remani\u00e9 existe toujours mais n’est pas visitable. DOMMAGE !<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
