{"id":13177,"date":"2019-10-08T11:27:57","date_gmt":"2019-10-08T10:27:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.histoiresgalantes.fr\/blog\/?p=13177"},"modified":"2019-10-08T15:34:07","modified_gmt":"2019-10-08T14:34:07","slug":"so-british","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.histoiresgalantes.fr\/blog\/2019\/10\/08\/so-british\/","title":{"rendered":"So british !"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Exposition &#8220;L&#8217;\u00e2ge d&#8217;or de la peinture anglaise&#8221; au mus\u00e9e du Luxembourg, la Tate Gallery a juste oubli\u00e9 d&#8217;y pr\u00e9senter &#8220;quelques&#8221; artistes femmes (1), mais l&#8217;exposition n&#8217;en est pas moins tr\u00e8s agr\u00e9able !<br>La peinture anglaise au XVIIIe si\u00e8cle a quelque chose d\u2019inachev\u00e9 qui laisse entrevoir les pr\u00e9mices de l\u2019impressionnisme.<br>Si les peintres anglais ne vivent que de commandes de portrait, ils y transposent une libert\u00e9 toute nouvelle qu&#8217;ils ont invent\u00e9e dans la peinture de paysage.<br>En effet leur style s\u2019\u00e9chappent litt\u00e9ralement dans la peinture de paysages, un genre qui ne leur rapporte rien mais qui est source d\u2019exp\u00e9riences in\u00e9dites, cette libert\u00e9 d\u2019action constituant l\u2019un des traits dominants de la peinture anglaise. A la fin du XVIIIe si\u00e8cle, la mode du \u00ab grand tour \u00bb impose de nouvelles techniques et l\u2019aquarelle, plus simple \u00e0 transporter que l\u2019huile, devient le m\u00e9dium id\u00e9al pour restituer ses souvenirs de voyage.<br>Turner et Constable sont les plus beaux exemples de cette recherche de technique libre capable de s\u2019adapter aux caprices de la nature et ils excellent dans l\u2019art du paysage id\u00e9alis\u00e9 et dont la forte inspiration vient des \u0153uvres de Claude Gell\u00e9e, dit le Lorrain !<br>(1) La Royal Academy of Arts (London) est cr\u00e9\u00e9e le 10 d\u00e9cembre 1768 par le roi George III, le peintre Joshua Reynolds en est le pr\u00e9sident. A sa cr\u00e9ation sont pr\u00e9sentes deux femmes, Mary Moser et Angelica Kaufmann que d\u2019autres suivront en tant qu\u2019exposantes ou membres, dont Margaret Carpenter, Maria Cosway, Emma Crewe
