Il \u00e9tait autrefois le \u00ab four du chapitre \u00bb, soit l&#8217;endroit o\u00f9 l&#8217;on faisait cuire le pain pour les religieux de la paroisse.<br><br>Et heureusement il a \u00e9t\u00e9 achet\u00e9 par la ville de Langres ! Ouf !<br><br>&#8221; Ce four fut donn\u00e9 au chapitre en 1252 par l&#8217;\u00e9v\u00eaque Gui de Rochefort. Les chanoines l&#8217;ont reconstruit en 1263 pour <em>en laisser la gestion \u00e0 un boulanger d\u00e9tach\u00e9 de la juridiction \u00e9piscopale. Ce b\u00e2timent carr\u00e9 de 13 m\u00e8tres de c\u00f4t\u00e9 et vo\u00fbt\u00e9 de neuf crois\u00e9es d&#8217;ogives poss\u00e8de des chapiteaux orn\u00e9s de motifs g\u00e9om\u00e9triques ou de plantes stylis\u00e9es. Une grande chemin\u00e9e s&#8217;adosse au mur de fa\u00e7ade.
