peintres] Katherine Read"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>(1723-1778) &#8211; Royaume-Uni<br><br>Katherine Read est une portraitiste pastelliste \u00e9cossaise. <br>N\u00e9e dans une famille ais\u00e9e, ses origines nobles lui permettent d\u2019\u00eatre introduite \u00e0 Paris dans les ateliers de Maurice Quentin de la Tour et de Louis Blanchet. <br>Elle se rend ensuite \u00e0 Rome o\u00f9 elle copie des portraits de Rosalba Carriera avant de revenir en Angleterre o\u00f9 son travail est expos\u00e9 par la Free Society et la Society of Artists, dont elle devient membre honoraire en 1769 avec Mary Benwell et Mary Black. <br>Les aristocrates londoniens veulent tous se faire portraiturer par Katherine Read.<br>Malheureusement, beaucoup des ses \u0153uvres furent attribu\u00e9es \u00e0 Joshua Reynolds.<br><br>Personnellement, j&#8217;aime beaucoup la douceur de sa palette.<br><br>\u00a9 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pastellists.com\/articles\/read.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer
