La cath\u00e9drale Saint-Bavon <\/strong>est une importante \u00e9glise gothique de la ville de Gand<\/strong>, en Belgique. Elle est le si\u00e8ge du dioc\u00e8se en 1559. Simple \u00e9glise paroissiale plac\u00e9e sous le vocable de Saint-Jean au XIIIe si\u00e8cle, elle a acquis le statut de coll\u00e9giale en 1536, puis de cath\u00e9drale en 1559.
Elle abrite le retable de l\u2019Agneau Mystique<\/a><\/strong>, chef d\u2019\u0153uvre incontest\u00e9 de l\u2019\u00e9cole flamande <\/strong>r\u00e9alis\u00e9 par Hubert, Jan et Marguerite van Eyck<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n
