Il r\u00e8gne dans ce petit bois <\/strong> en Haute-Marne, une atmosph\u00e8re \u00e9trange.
Entour\u00e9 d\u2019alignement de pierres moussues, ce bois fut autrefois occup\u00e9 par un camp n\u00e9olithique, soit vers 5000 ans avt J.-C.
Il correspond \u00e0 un habitat du type \u00e9peron barr\u00e9 (promontoire rocheux prot\u00e9g\u00e9 par un mur naturel).
Les pierres moussues sont les vestiges des murs de 4 m \u00e0 5 m de haut, qui prot\u00e9geaient le camp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Neuf tumulus de pierre<\/strong>s, formant une n\u00e9cropole, sont diss\u00e9min\u00e9es dans le bois, \u00e0 l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur du camp.
Ce site class\u00e9 au patrimoine, a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9couvert en 1863. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 l\u2019objet de nombreuses fouilles dans les ann\u00e9es 1980.
